Distance learning courses are designed to equip lay counsellors who prefer the flexibility of learning at their own pace or place.
However it would require students to be self-disciplined and highly motivated.
The course can also be done in groups for better learning.
Eligibility for the course is a minimum age of 18 years and proficiency in the language offered.
Introduction to Biblical Counselling (IBC)
Course includes 6 booklets covering 12 lessons.
Topics include Biblical Basis For Counselling, Self Image & Self Esteem, Basic Skills for Counselling,
Counselling model and Case studies.
Advanced Biblical Counselling (ABC)
Course includes 4 books covering 32 lessons
Topics include Biblical Basis For Counselling, Biblical model For Counselling & case studies, Skills for Effective Counselling, Counselling for Emotional Well-being.
How much work will I have to do?
The course can be taken at a pace suitable for you. However, it is recommended that you set aside about 5 hours per week. The IBC course can be completed within a year and the ABC course in two years. This work will include background reading, review questions that test your comprehension and personal application
How is the course administered?
Books will be sent one by one. Review sections to completed and evaluation will be as per the guidelines given in the Introduction to each course.
Will I get a certificate?
Upon completion of the course, a certificate will be awarded.
What does it cost?
A. Introduction to Biblical Counselling: INR 600 within India. Individuals outside India can opt for either a soft copy by email or hard copy by post for a donation of USD 100.
B. Advanced Biblical Counselling: INR 2,500 within India. Individuals outside India can opt for either a soft copy by email for a donation of USD 100 or hard copy by post for a donation of USD 200.
The cost is inclusive of postage and course material payable at the time of registration
